Preschool Physics Activity - Building a Marble Track with your Preschooler

Using the preschool physics activity written for my preschool science and nature site, my sons and I built marble tracks across my kitchen floor. This activity was a little harder to create than I thought it would be, but my sons loved it. In the beginning, I wanted to make sure the tracts looked perfect, but I found my sons didn’t care. They were learning all the needed to know even if the tracks weren’t perfect.
We found that larger marbles work better than smaller marbles used for floral arrangements. I also found that if the pipe cleaners were perfectly straight and cut in half, that the tracks worked (and looked!) better.
I’d love to hear about the marble tracts you create. Please feel free to contact me and send any pictures of your marble tracks.
